OK, I'm primarily interested in how the polling feature works. But I'd also like to see just how polarized we are on this issue. :D :D :D

Enough with all the tulip/livery threads. It's just paint on an airplane.

I feel that it is paint, on a plane. I have a hard time working up any "feelings" beyond that. I try to save my feelings for things that actually matter.

I don't care, period. However, it would be nice to see some planes painted in heritage colors from all the airlines that formed the new United. I think that would be something both sides could get behind.

    +1

I'm a big fan of good design, and I don't think the new livery qualifies as such, but the list of things that are vastly more important to me is a long one: E+, UDUs, *Net blocking, RCC quality, RCC overcrowding, C-class lie-flat rollout, Wi-Fi onboard, satellite TV onboard...

Also, I was more interested in discussing this when the decision hadn't been made. Now it has been. The new livery is here to stay. So there's nothing to agitate over -- the train has left the station.

Meh. Kinda plain and boring. Don't hate it, but definitely don't love it. That said, it's done. Get over it. I prefer the tulip, but it ain't comin' back.

Generally speaking, I don't get too excited about the outsides of airplanes, except I must admit that seeing the new 787 come in for a landing over my office, stirs my heart.

Regardless of the logo, it's the font used for United that I don't like ... just saw it again this morning at GVA ... it just doesn't do it for me.

    Cheers,

Not a fan of it, but I think it was the smarter decision for UAL from a Financial standpoint

Not going to vote on any of the options, cause none fit my feelings ("get a life" is a little over the top).

I wish the tulip would stay, but I don't hate the globe, either. I'm glad they changed the font of "UNITED" on the planes rather than going with what was speculated earlier on with the Continental font.

Like someone else mentioned, I'm far more concerned with onboard product, airport lounge quality, and the usability of the mileage program than the paint job. That said, the new livery doesn't strike me as all that bad.

same here. The importance is the the service. But I'd still prefer the tulips.

I'm happy it's going to make the Corporate Death Star livery go away much faster than it otherwise would. That was terrible.

I actually thought Corporate Death Star/Battleship Gray was pretty good for its time. The trouble was, its time passed about 1998.

Under the "what if" category, I personally think that if UA had kept to a less moronic schedule for updating its livery, the tulip would have survived. CO was able to use the sorry state of UA's waaaaaay-behind painting schedule as a way to get the bingo cage on every tail.

And the results so far: 41% are emotionally involved with their brand of choice; 32% don't care; 25% are actively annoyed at others; and 2% are clueless. :D :D :D

Of folks who bothered to vote. You've ignored that metric. Basing any statistics on self-reporting is a recipe for misleading numbers.

I may not have aced Stats 101 but I definitely learned a couple things in the few hours I actually attended class.
