One of the great things about working for a non-profit is that since they tend to pay less than the corporate world, they tend to offer great benefits to lure talent. One of my favorites is the number of vacation days I get. I accrue 32 days a year. I actually have trouble taking it all (though I try really hard)

For more vacation days, try Scandinavia/Nordic countries!

Strange, by Swedish co-workers say that they have 6 weeks of vacation, not 5.

  8. I totally agreed with Uggboy. Paris, the City of Light, is filled with thousands of hotels, attractions, shops and restaurants. One of the most divine indulgences on a visit to Paris is definitely the food.

Because Expedia did the survey, presumably of Expedia clients, there is a huge margin of error. Several of the "30 day" countries have more holiday time than that, and a good many have times that increase with time on the job. Anyway, after 30 days it is quite difficult to take it all, I suspect.

In Belgium we normally get 20 days as a minimum, depending on how many hours you do this can increase. I'm getting 28 days (20 + 6 for working 39 instead of 38 hours + 2 days for working 10 years at the company). In addition we have also a few official hollidays (I think it's about 10 days, have to check) so that brings my total on 38 days of vacation. Which isn't to bad :)
