I’ve had an old Hartmann leather bag for years. It held up well for a few years, was torn, repaired with the old warranty and generally worked well. But Samsonite purchased Hartmann back in 2012 and didn’t carry over the warranty. So anyone with a Hartmann bag is out of luck. So much for the lifetime warranty. So ever since then I’ve been looking for a new leather briefcase.

Earlier this year we gave away an @work bag from Briggs & Riley and those bags looked cool. But I had my heart set on a leather briefcase. Call me old fashioned but leather makes for a great briefcase bag, especially when it comes with a fantastic warranty like Briggs & Riley offers. My experience with Briggs & Riley’s warranty on my 21 inch one-touch carry-on has been fantastic.

Briggs & Riley announced an introduction of leather bags into the @work collection. The three offers are below:

Small Slim Vertical Leather Brief (KL104)

    • 14 x 11 x 3.5 in.
    • 2.4 lbs.
    • Retail: $379

    Medium Leather Brief (KL200)

    • 12 x 16.5 x 5 in.
    • 3.8 lbs.
    • Retail: $469

    Medium Leather Backpack (KL275)

    • 16.8 x 13.5 x 7.5 in.
    • 2.9 lbs.
    • Retail: $469

Remember, you can get 4.5% cash back at Briggs & Riley through Ebates travel section.

    Bottom Line

Briggs & Riley new leather @work bags will be available this month.

For those of you who like leather briefcases, what has been your go-to leather bag and what kind of warranty has it offered?
