Damn you, Delta - you're a like a siren whose song I'm having more and more trouble resisting!

I wish they were more specific about rollout date. Summer is so vague. I'm flying NRT-ATL in June and would like to try out the new stuff. Of course there's not much wrong with the existing bedding in BE.

The good thing about this upgrade is that it's a soft upgrade, fairly easy to start by training FA's and replacing the current duvets - no need to send the aircraft in for maintenance. I'd guess current lie-flat routes see it first and it grows as more aircraft are converted.

It's about branding and "enhancement" for a select few of fliers who are the minority. Over the long run, we're all to dependent upon branding in our lives right now and Westin has a strong brand with the "Heavenly bed".

Now I just have to see who I can bribe to get it into service on NRT-ATL at the beginning of June as a test run. mersk862?

essentially it will just be new "bedding" while being marketed as Westin due to their new partnership. I'm sure it's more comfortable, but definitely not gonna be anywhere close to a true heavenly bed.

and someone's using their brain putting it on ATL-HNL. too bad you'll never see anything below medium or high redemption on that route

Sounds like they are not adding a mattress pad--which would really make it 'heavenly'.

How about staying in a Westin after your flight? ;)

Good point, it won't let me change the topic name though.
