I think this is the first time over several years that IHG sent this particular message

after contacting the Ambassador help line, they made it clear that you need to reach 70 nights (with 20 nights at an IC) no reward or carry-over nights will be included

Its our pleasure to welcome you back. As a Royal Ambassador, you are one of our most valued guests and we hope you are enjoying the benefits of membership.

It also seems IHG has updated the Terms & Conditions for RA where they are more specific about where and when you are entitled to upgrades.

The best note IMO was if you are upgraded to an IC Club room, you definitely get lounge access included

I believe this has since been revised back to only 60 nights a year, with 20 total at 3 different ICs, all paid nights

there is a thread on Flyer Talk

I thought Hyatt was going to match RA with Diamond but they only gave me Platinum status which is not nearly as rewarding IMO but can use as a "fall back"

My IC account still says I need 75 nights. I could not find the FT thread or post.

FYI the exact nights required for RA status is not published anywhere by IHG

it is still strictly by invitation only to supposedly their top 1% of customers that meet the criteria discussed quite clearly on FT
