I have a few of these units http://tinyurl.com/7usguop and they work just fine. They don't do much for charging the iPad however and I now have three of them, plus an iPhone, plus an Android phone, plus...lots of other stuff.

I'd like to be able to charge up to four devices at once via micro or mini usb. Being able to take it to the UK or Europe would be great as well.

What power strategies do you folks use? Do you use any similar devices to the one above? Anyone have power sources that can charge iPads as well as iPhones?

I am surprised why it does not charge your Ipad well. It has output of 2.0 amp.

The iPad does charge, just in that real slow mode like when you connect it to a USB port on a PC. Pretty widelyl known gripe of iPad buyers: http://tinyurl.com/ygzluuj. So it charges, it just takes forever to achieve full charge...and I'd like to find a compact, versatile unit that provides adequate power to charge the iPad quickly.
