    Property firm Magnolia Quality Development Corporation will invest Bt11 billion to develop five new residential and luxury hotel projects from this year through 2014.

    Thanks for the news Kalboz! Looks like another stunningly beautiful hotel development in the City of Angels. The competition there will be extremely tough in a few years' time. Hopefully it will mean lower price and better service for all of us :)

    Would like it to be the case ... but I think they are preparing for the Chinese and Indians visitors to increase many times over in the coming years! Purchasing power is increasing in these countries ...

    Yes. If you wanted to do "chain hopping", you could start at the IC or HI as you prefer, cross the street to the REN, walk next door to the Grand Hyatt, walk down the street to the WA, walk next door to the Four Seasons, and next door to the St. Regis. All we are missing now is A-Club, which you could easily get to by catching the BTS (which is connected to the St. Regis).

    This must be one of the highest concentrations of luxury hotel chains in the world (Hong Kong can almost rival).

    And note you don't even own it Kal- it is a 30 year leasehold!

    Given the leasehold status this is officially more expensive than Knightsbridge.

    Good luck on a single even interested buyer....
