    Pres. Obama plans to avoid W-A after Chinese purchase and the upcoming renovations. If there was any message intended in this announcement, publishing it in the press would make sure it gets out. ;)

    True, but I would draw the line on video cameras in hotel rooms outside of my control. So no "smart tv's" and such for me.

    Sounds like tit for tat. Mr. Obama should get down from his high horse and live the dream @TheWaldorf...:) So, the hotel is Chinese owned, many things these days are Chinese owned.....plus in regards to the "bugs"....I thought the NSA and other agencies are in the same business. ;)

    The choice is in -- it's the historic New York Palace Hotel. It might even be a classier and more presidential-looking place. Other advantages include lower rates than the Astoria and no bedbugs!
