While they are at it they need to work on changing laws in 29 states that allow people to be fired for being gay. Amazing that in today's world we still have such archaic laws on the books.

Yup. This move by W hotels would have been front-page news before the recent wave of federal court rulings in favor of marriage equality, even in Utah. To "come out" at this time seems more like shameless opportunism than a "profile in courage"...

It's not like W hotels haven't been advocating for such things for years. This is just one organized program that happens to be kicking off now. If you are not knowledgable or paying attention, why comment?

Making omniscience a prerequisite for commenting on this board would greatly decrease traffic, but your point is taken. You can now get off your high horse...

I'm not requesting omniscience, only that people abstain from making strong statements regarding matters of which they are not well-informed. It may be old-fashioned of me, but if I don't know a subject well and want to comment, I post a question, hedge my comment, or do a quick fact-check to make sure that what I'm saying lines up with reality. That does not seem like an unreasonably high bar to me.

There is not much left to say. The point was taken. Move on...

We see comments like these from time to time, and MP is no city of angels, but things seldom get as bad as they often can get at TOBB...

I hear that things recently got so bad at TOBB that AC representatives might have decided to bail out. Contrast that with the milder expressions of disappointment and generally benign comments here on the same topic...
