I have a multiple entry visa issued for china for a trip to Shanghai in a couple weeks. Since i have the visa, was thinking about taking a second trip later. Do i need to submit any other information? Or as long as the visa is still valid, can I just go again?

No, you don't have to submit anything additional with a multiple entry visa, just show up at the border -- all that's required is that it be still valid on the entry date. I made use of this regularly, including for short day trips from HKG to Shenzhen.

Great! I didn't want to show up and be turned away.

Doesn't it need to be valid through the exit date?

Each China visa I've received is 'enter by' expiration date.

True. The last time I applied for a China visa, I was told that I can enter anytime up until before midnight on the day the visa expires
