This is what many UK flyers have been waiting for, a new domestic competitor to BA.

Waiting for my first Little Red now, LHR to EDI. Checkin in T1 was fast and friendly. Not surprised the VA Velocity Plat held no sway in the Servisair lounge, but that's what the Priority Pass is for.

It would be nice if this service continues to use the EI lounge which is nearer the Gate 8 domestic area.

Still love the Little Red service. Months after it launched loads are still light, which is not great for service longevity but brilliant for comfort while they last.

Also pleased that VA Velocity now officially recognises VS Little Red, earning the same mileage (750 miles per sector) for all Y or lower classes as per Flying Club.

Little Red does sell J class as welll on these single cabin services, which still only earn 750 miles / 1 Status Point with VS, but earn 1500 miles and 40 (double) status credits with VA like a regular VS J fare would.

Have now flown 34 Little Red sectors, still a first this morning:

"We are coming around with Flying Club membership forms. If you have a status card with BA, we will match it."

On being handed a form: "No, this is for new Flying Club members only".

There was nowhere on the form to include a BA account number anyway - it was the usual Flying Club application form.
