    As mentioned in the comments Schwab refunds ATM fees (and doesn't have a $2.50/debit limit as someone mentioned for another card) - which is handy for the almost $5 fee in Thailand that is charged by (almost) all banks.

    Dynamic currency conversion (being offered the "advantage" of being charged in your home currency) is an invention of the devil (aka greedy banks) which can often result in paying 10% or more over the real conversion rate!
