?

Does this make you more likely to fly VN?

  1. Yes, I would be more likely to give VN a chance.

FYI - A source has confirmed to me that VN's new C seats on the 789s are the Zodiac Cirrus, the same model found on AA, AF, BR, CX, and others. These will also be used on the 359s.

It will be a 28-seat C cabin between the 1st and 2nd doors of the 789s.

The first few 789s are on lease, and these will feature 283 Y seats (no PEY).

The ones directly purchased from Boeing will have 35 PEY and 211 Y.

VN has released renderings of their new cabins:
Vietnam Airlines Releases Interior Images for 787, A350

Confirmed my previous post about the seats for the 789, but then VNA went sideways on the 359 and used Thomson's staggered seating for C, and essentially configured their "deluxe economy" seats on the 359 more like UA's E+ or AA's MCE, rather than a proper PEY class.

Also, VN will debut the 789 to LHR on June 29, and Vietnam will work with Boeing to get FAA authorization to start flights to the US. First up for VN: SGN-LAX.
