I am seeking information from MP'ers who have stayed at either hotel. I am trying to decide which one to use for a future adventure. At the time I am going the costs for both are within $ 50.00 of each other due to FHR/Virtuoso benefits at the Fairmont. Thanks, I appreciate any input.

I had this dilema this April for 8 adults stay in Vancouver

Pan Pacific - no FHR benefits.
Fairmont Waterfront - FHR, but older hotel than Pacific Rim

I ended up with Sutton Place Hotel in downtown, using FHR at $170/night x 4 rooms, all upgraded to suites, free breakfast/dinner
I think Pan Pacific/Waterfront was $1000~$1200+ and they were a bit far on the coast side vs. downtown

Thank you for that info. I want to stay in one of the two hotels mentioned since it is convenient to my meetings.
