Can a United CR 1 be used to confirm an upgrade on CO metal?
Yep...this requires a phone call to the UA 1K or Elite Desk...They will call the Integration Desk to apply the CR1 over to CO Ressies.
You can check for R Availability (CO's version of NC) on CO.COM for the flights that you have whether the CR1 would clear or be wait-listed at the time.
yes, and you can even use one CR1 across both UA and CO metal (say, SFO-IAH on UA then IAH-FLL on CO).
But only if they both have availability. You can't be put on the waitlist if it is a split-carrier itinerary.
Just finished den-ewr-mco-cvg-den on CO using 2 UA CR1. no problems
