For an industry so central to a continental nation, that employs hundreds of thousands and with millions come in contact you’d think the US media would do some insightful and enterprise reporting. And you’d think wrong. For whatever the reasons, the US has repeatedly and abjectly failed to do cover the airline industry. In NY, DC, LA and other major cities mass transit is basically a daily story, interesting because unlike aviation the passengers have some voice through government officials. In contrast the airline industry basically does whatever it pleases with no one to stop them.
