I really hope they allow it still this month. I will be on seven different *A carriers during the next month, and a few different hotels etc. I hope they allow the registration to work on pre-existing reservations. I hope they add the rest of *A rather than only SQ as it was last year.

I would think after all the CXing that was done last year of goods no longer needed and corkscrews etc instead of purchasing the wine itself that it will be alot more expensive this year than last, in getting credit from some of USs partners.

But as they say "Let the Games Begin" :D

As a US newbie, should I sign up for an account now, or wait until GS starts?

    Hey SCFlier,
I'd go ahead and sign up. From my experience, the 500 mile bonus doesn't trigger automatically. Instead, you should see it as an option in the "rewards" section of your e-rewards account as a "Free" reward under US Airways. You can wait to redeem until the activity period starts.

    Andyandy

P.S.: Remember to sign up for a US Airways E-miles.com account if you haven't done so already. It should be pretty easy to get up to 500 miles in time for the GS.

Sigh. I took my Grand Slam Biscoff to the bank as a Christmas gift to the tellers who I regularly "minted". I may do it again this year for old times sake.

Don't jump into anything. There's enough of us on here that will overanalyze all the possibilities that you should be able to figure out the best ways to get hits pretty quickly. Just follow along with the thread once the details are released.

Overanalysis is :oops:indeed our specialty! That said, with all the options that US will offer for getting points it will not be difficult to decide how to concentrate your efforts. Many of them are essentially costless, or minimal cost, and those you can just do. the problem and need for analysis every year comes down to the last few points, the ones that will cost you money and/or inconvenience. Paying close attention will make it fun and relatively easy, assuming you're as obsessive/compulsive as the rest of us are.
