US Air miles will improve by the AA partnership.
    Delta miles never expire,

Miles are a market game, and many are left unused, much like debit and gift cards.

Everyone likes to vent, airline like to make their award travel, a little difficult, sometimes...

    I can be flexible...

For a while, yes, but in a few years (once the merger is done), I expect they'll join the devaluation parade.

One of the few good things you can say about SkyPesos.

The key ingredient for being able to redeem miles with any airline.

Arguably not. Losing *A is pretty big. Losing the ability to fly to Europe in F without paying $1000+ in fuel scamcharges is pretty big (AA's F TATL award inventory is tiny and going to get tinier once the 772s are converted to J/Y+/Y). JL is stingier than NH. QF is notoriously stingy.

You also lose some amazing routings: I've transited Europe twice on US award to HKG, starting in SEA, using 120K US miles for F, 90K for J. Try doing that with the same amount of AA miles (hint: you can't). ;)

That's balanced out some by CX and oneworld explorer awards, but only some.
