    Hi all,

A bit confused - could use some insight. I am flying SFO-JFK on UA p.s. service in a few weeks - booked through CO, so it's a CO codeshare on UA metal. I recently matched my CO status to UA, so am 1K. I also transferred over 15,000 miles. I tried using the website to upgrade the flight, but it doesn't seem to work. Is this because it's a codeshare? Is it because I have my CO FF# in the reservation? Both?

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, yes. You won't be able to request an upgrade on this flight until OLCI is available at the 24-hour mark, I'm afraid. Good luck with the upgrade!

Oh - I didn't realize that - so I can actually request an upgrade at OLCI with the miles in my account? Even if my CO FF# is on the account and it's a codeshare?

No reason to have your CO # on the acct - in fact, if you've matched over to 1K, you should put your UA # on the account.

The codeshare situation disappears at OLCI - that's when it gets switched to a UA flight #, which is why you can then request the upgrade.

I have the reverse situation. Booked through UA, so UA codeshare on CO metal. Not sure about upgrading w/miles or hoping for the automatic ug. Is it called EAP on CO?

Is the response above the same for this? Thanks for any help.

    A) It's called EUA on CO. B) In this situation, you should be able to upgrade a CO metal flight with CO miles on the CO website, regardless of the fact that it's a UA codeshare (unless something's changed).

It hasn't changed; it still works exactly like that.
