    I think it's great that UA encourages its customers to recognize UA's top notch employees. However, I also found it quite sad that they have to "bribe" with prizes.

    Perhaps all of the good comments yield in two entries instead of just one ;)

    Incentives can be viewed as a bribe, but IMO they can also be viewed as a company saying that "we're serious enough about this that we're willing to put something of value behind it to encourage participation."

    I haven't flown on UA since I switched to AA in 2010, but is this program intended to replace GTEM certs? Also, is it to recognized good experiences only?

    I have a Windows Phone, so I can't really check out the app myself.

    This is not specifed in the information from UA, but it would make sense that they would replace the old system with an app...
