    +1. It's a wonder that they are complaining, rather than simply tacking on added fees to the customers.

  5. This isn't news to UA as the main three airports here have all long been profit centers for the Port. That said, something must have gone on to cause the complaint.

    This is similar to ONT. LAWA charges higher fees out at ONT than they do at LAX, despite the actual costs being lower at ONT.

    UA shouldn't complain too hard however as their rights to operate at EWR are freely cancellable by the Port at any time. :)

    Why don't they just get the PANYNJ World Mastercard from First New Jersey State Bank, which will give them a fee waiver, priority take-off slots and every year a one-time discount certificate for 10% off a tank load of jet fuel.

    I am certain one of the credit card bloggers can chime in with a referral link. :)
