Feel bad for all those who hold out to make changes when premium cabins open up last minute. At least they didn't switch to some of the more ridiculous policies of their competitors (ahem DL)

Definitely rough - I've made use of the free reward changes quite a few times in the past.

Looks like this is one of the "program enhancements" referred to yesterday in the e-mail.

:( MAN they just keep upping the FEES but i gues we will just have to make sure we can take our trips at inital desired time so we can avoid this.

not to say they wont--but defly not a good change on United's side. Those prices are a bit on the steep side

Does this mean that when their planes don't leave on time, we get $100 and when they cancel a flight we get $200?

Or when they change the scheduled time of our flights, we get to hit them with their fees in reverse?

Seriously, though, this one really could have an impact on me, the lowly GM flyer with a lot of RDMs and a family of 4. The other change to PQDs is less of an issue, and frankly probably the right thing for them to do as a business matter.

Funny you should bring it up. In years past, Friday was always the day for bad news. A friend of mine worked in the marketing dept at WHQ. He told me that by the time Monday morning came around, they were able to iron out all the kinks, thanks to what was posted over the weekend. :D
