UA doesn't need new uniforms.... it needs new FA's to replace their old prison matrons....

I say be more like the 1st generation Pan Am and see what THAT does to revenues and profits....

    (ducking)

    So politically incorrect.

I like the new uniforms. I think they're very professional looking - but I still love the old CO blue/gold better. And, being a female of the "prison matron" age group, I'm ok with their age. :)

I dearly appreciate the more experienced FAs with positive attitudes they know how to make the trip comfortable.

What struck me as odd, is that there is really nothing that distinguishes them as "United". I feel bad for all the business travelers out there in plain grey suits who are undoubtedly going to be asked, "do you work here?". It's like wearing a red shirt to Target.

Once again my suggestion below was ignored by UA. :(

I, too, appreciate the experienced FAs with positive attitudes. There are some real gems among them.

To quote a famous man who shall remain nameless here to avoid my having to run, rather than just duck, "I have always appreciated the women's movement. Especially from behind." I just happen to enjoy it more when I'm on a Copa or Taca flight. :D

And to be totally fair, there are also some excellent, professional male FAs out there. Being a straight male, I just don't appreciate them in the same way.

(OK.... NOW I'm ducking and running....)

Or Staples. I once spent ten minutes explaining the difference between 802.11 b, G and N wireless systems to a Grandmother who thought I worked there. Sold her a nice 300MHz N so her grandchildren would be able to enjoy Netflix on multiple devices.

I talked to an FA today during a 787 event in AUS and she related that she really liked the new UA uniforms, they're lighter and thus cooler to work in, and comfortable.

I flew to Seoul today most of FA weren't too pleased with changes . One of them
Mentioned that blue dress can easily get stained if something fell over it. Ground staff at SFO also didn't seem to be pleased with change so I personally preferred the "older" uniform.

The flight attendants can wear SpongeBob Squarepants t-shirts for all I care.

It's not the uniforms that need fixing at United.

At the EWR 25 Year celebration where they had a fashion show with the new uniforms, I asked all of the models what they thought. Overall, they said they liked that new uniforms were coming out across UA/CO teams and they said without a common uniform, they were reminded every day they were two organizations smashed into one. Without the constant reminder of who was UA or who was CO, they said the uniform uniform would help gel the teams better...which in turn would help move employees and the service they provide forward in the same direction for the better.

After a few days of seeing the unis, I like.

The blue dress is very nice looking, matches the airline branding more than is apparent in the photo, and seems to flatter the FAs that choose the wear it.

There's also a nice blue sweater and skirt combo that looks smart.

And yes, the pantsuit is boring. But all pantsuits are boring, yet they probably have to offer such or get bad publicity for forcing women into skirts or dresses.

Sent from a place using a fruit thing.
