Full details in the press release.

One nice thing is that Mileage Plus and OnePass members will now get the same mileage accrual benefits on ANA that they receive on United and Continental flights.

No mention of improved access to award travel or upgrades between ANA and United-- a major draw for frequent flyers.

Thank goodness as this is one thing that I hate about ANA (and JAL): You only get 70% of the miles flown unless you pay full fare economy. What's worse is that you only get 50% of the miles flown if you book a package tour from Japan.

There are very few inter-airline partnerships that result in increased award availability. I can think of maybe a handful (CO/CM, CO/NW, NW/KL, SQ/LH). Ditto for upgrades. Given that so few programs offer such I'm not sure how it can be considered a major draw.
Not all routes earn 100% so don't get too excited.

Does this mean UA flyers will get the EQM bonus when flying on international ANA flights for Y,B, and Z fares?

Yes, so long as the route is one of those included in the agreement.

The elite bonus is probably the most valuable addition as result of this JV for frequent flyers... Now if we could use our SWUs to upgrade to business at the airport on day of departure, that would be awesome too :D

Well, I hope my wishful thinking does not backfire and result in us losing the arrangement we have with LH

Am I correct that ANA Asian flights to DPS, CMB, etc would receive the EQM bonus for Y & B fares then?

What's also nice is getting 150% EQM on UA for paid F and C as opposed to 100% before.

I'm aware of that - That's why I still avoid ANA when I fly inter-Asian routes from Tokyo.
