    Yawn :)

I guess it's good for those in SFO who want to connect to a cruise in FLL.

I actually like it. Not for a cruise, necessarily, but to get to southern Florida for a weekend getaway or so. Could also be a cheap transcon at certain times of the year.

I've been hoping/waiting for this for a while.

I like FLL as an entry to South Florida. Unfortunately the UC there is way too small and the concourse used by United has always been a bit crowded both at security and by the gates.

No yawn from me or goalie-parents as this now makes it very easy to get to their getaway place in Palm Beach

FLL has generally but not consistently been less expensive than MIA or PBI. Whenever I go to South Florida (even Marco Island/Naples) I check FLL. I took 4 of us through FLL (from EWR) to Miami Beach and saved $650 and $400 vs MIA on two occasions (including ground transport).

This is good news for me, I have been flying VX that route 6-7 times per year!

If VX already flies this route, are we to read anything into the fact that VX also announced this week new service on the SFO-EWR route? I recognize the difference in traffic and strategic value between these two routes is significant, but the timing seems interesting so just wondering if this isn't a complete coincidence.

Of course it's a response by United.
