When will AA get the memo!?
Kudos United, although my alter ego, Captain Cynic says that this was a cost saving measure. So, we are going to be more green..good deal.
On a side note, those extruded polystyrene cups made the coffee taste like...well, extruded polystyrene. It will be interesting to see if this improves the coffee or the coffee just tastes like junk anyway.
I'm amazed anybody still uses styrofoam anything. It's long been known to not biodegrade at an acceptable rate. My local grocer has it down pat...paper products for everything, heck even the sandwhiches come in a cardboard box vs the usual cardboard box with a plastic top like the bigger chains.
It seems UA has't made the change because it didn't have a direct impact on reservations, and that's the reason they're in the toilet. They don't look far enough ahead.
I agree. I hope it improves the taste of the nasty UA coffee!
The problem with the coffee isn't the styrofoam. It still tastes just as bad when it's served in a mug in the front cabin.
I don't trust my tastebuds in a cabin pressured to and dry like most, but it does taste nasty in the mugs in the RCC....
