Does anyone know why UA1094 on 05Aug returned to SFO?. Looks like they were in the air less than 30 minutes from takeoff to touchdown. EF says there was a maintenance issue. The plane was returned to service and flew 1094 to IAH.

I only know about it because I was on IAH-MIA tonight and the plane was held for connecting passengers from SFO. I almost considered booking the SEA-SFO-IAH-MIA legs but they wound up more expensive. It would have been my first B788 ride and what a ride it would have been - two takes offs and two landings for "one" flight :)

Wow - what a story! Would you get any extra UA miles for this? :D
