I figured with all the changes coming to the Mileage Plus program this year and next it might be interesting to see how that changed people's flying and purchasing behavior (if at all).

    For me:

    Dec 31, 2013: 107,000 PQM, 50 PQS and thus 1K status renewed for 2014.
Dec 31, 2014: 47,000 PQM, 20 PQS, $4,400 PQD and (thanks to MM) Gold status for 2015

(it would have been worse -- for UA -- if I hadn't had an unplanned TATL in coach for work recently; that was my only other-people-money trip with $900 PQD. Also, 5000 of my PQM are from Chase via Select VISA)

    For my wife:

Dec 31, 2013: 38,000 PQM, 25 PQS and 1K status for 2014 thanks to my MM status
Dec 31, 2014: 20,000 PQM, 16 PQS, $2500 PQD and Gold status for 2015 (again, MM partner benefit)

Dec 31, 2014: less than 40,000 PQM, approx. $2,500 PQD. Qualified for 1MM in 2014, figured I wasn't going to hit $7,500 PQD, and quit paying attention to the details. Used several award tickets on American, USAir, Alaska, and United. Had some very pleasant paid travel on a couple of other carriers. Had at least one paid ticket on US credited to UA before US left *A.

Expecting more of the same in 2015. Have plans for at least one paid trip on UA before the March 1st evisceration of earnings, but I'm generally expecting to do more "burning" than "earning" this year.

A bit over 150K PQMs and "over $10K" PQDs. The website seems to stop tracking (or stop reporting) once you exceed $10K.

At DIG/R's correct urging, I'm going to roll two international trips into the first two months of 2015, so I'll have a solid slug of PQMs and earn RDMs based on flown distance. No idea how much I'll travel the rest of 2015. Most all of what I've booked post 3/1 is on AS.

    Dec 31, 2013 - 100,058 PQM, 48.5 PQS
    Dec 31, 2014 - 103,412 PQM, 54.0 PQS, $12,499 PQD

I've got almost 25,000 miles booked for the first two months of the year; we'll see where I end up. If service to STS increases now that runway 14/32 has been lengthened to 6,000 feet, I'll spend more time on AS/AA purely due to the convenience factor of not having to drive 90 minutes to SFO or SMF...

My wife also made Premier Gold this year:

    Dec 31, 2014 - 55,020 PQM, 39.5 PQS, $7,578 PQD

And she could have made Platinum by spending only $3,300 more on the Award/Premier Accelerator offered with our September trip to LHR...

Don't recall my exact 2013 numbers, but it was just over 100K PQMs and over $20K in PQDs.

This year, based on changes of program and lack of improvement in key metrics (honesty, it's that point driving me elsewhere more than the MP changes), I'm just over 75K PQMs, 46.5 segments (still need to figure out how I got half a segment), and about $12K in PQDs.

I'm expecting these to drop again in 2015. I'd like to hold on to Gold status but I'm not sure it will happen.

I did not make note of 2013, but it was below 50,000 PQMs last year.

You can still look at the dec 31 2013 statement on united.com if you want the number.

One can retrieve "Account Summaries" per Q going back a full year. Home > My Account > MileagePlus Statement > (select dates)

    2013 - PQM: 110,840. PQS: 32.
    2014:
    2014 MP SUMMARY.jpg

    Key features, by the numbers:
    • 851K lifetime miles - with 1MM within reach, my travel pattern isn't likely to change very much.
    • 308K RDM - will finish year with a chest full of redeemables, even after redeeming for 2014 Year-end Asian Escapade (tm); the 2015 Edition will therefore happen despite the leaner and meaner year(s) ahead.

    2014: 285,289 PQM and $100,427 PQD

I'm captive UA at IAD, so totals for 2015 should be in the ballpark of 2014's totals.

    Thx!

As for lifetime, I'm still under 400K. It would take a miracle or lobotomy for me to hit 1MM.
