5x/weekly ORD-SNN to replace the second EWR-SNN frequency, using 757-200 and operating as UA66/67 (the old CLE-LGW/LHR flight numbers). Credit to the oustanding airlineroute.net for breaking the news:

Also, it looks as though the rumor that surfaced around when the first international 787 routes were announced has come to pass... the Houston Chronicle reports UA will operate a 5x/weekly, summer-seasonal (June 6 to Aug 26) 3rd flight to LHR.

Timing and flight numbers can be found below.

I guess with this announcement it might go to show the denizens of Houston that UA isn't out to dismantle the hub entirely.

Interestingly, that report has it as a daily flight with no report on seasonality. I look forward to seeing what is loaded.

Having an even later IAH-LHR flight will be really nice.

The times on that one are really nice.

Posting in the pointy end of the plane with a Samsung Galaxy S III using Milepoint.

Plenty of Star options to get out of LHR: SAS, Aegean, Lufthansa, TAP, Swiss etc etc.

I'm puzzled by the very quick turn at LHR. 1 hour only is tight for a 767 - normally at LHR you would allow at least 90 minutes, preferably 2 hours. It makes me wonder if they will be utilising another 767 already there - but the only other 767s in LHR will be at T1, not T4, and will be 3-class. Otherwise expect this flight to operate late on a regular basis.

I would not be surprised to see one of the EWR frequencies going 2-class... moreover I expect IAH ops to remain at T4 regardless of operating subsidiary until UA moves under one roof at LHR.

All the EWR operations ex-LHR are already two class. Agreed re-IAH - which is why the 60 minute turn is so surprising.
