    millionmiler benefits devalued

Whoa !! I work for myself, very loyal to United since DIA established. Looking forward last few years to UA Millionmiler. I was close at end of 2011,not impatient-woukd have reached in 2012.
The millionmiler progranm has been devalued, demoted downgraded. Here are some concrete portions, with related website link.
    Premerger Million Miler :
2nd highest status for life- Premier Exec
    3 SWUs upon attainment
    2 Annual Regional upgrades
    PostMerger ie NOW-
3rd highest level- Premier Gold and this is a real killer as its the difference between 72 & 48 hours upgrade for LIFE!!
    NO SWUs
    no regional upgrades

True, but it's old news. The flip side is that you can now get GS for life (at 4MM) and gift status to someone else. It's still weak, though, especially at the 2MM level. Do a search and you'll find out this has already been discussed.

Thanks for reminding me. I do feel that as the computer/merge and millionmiler combining , etc is still very new ,we need to keep it lively.Plus the millionmilersunited.com website is very active.
Hopefully UA brass will reconsider and retain some componnts that they took away.
I am also curious how many UA MM, 2MM, 3mm $& above there are..???

Arguing about the placement of the level within the pr:rolleyes:gram is not a winning argument. UA has the right to change the pr:rolleyes:gram at any time. We may not like it, but those were the rules we agreed t:rolleyes: when we signed up.

BUT in the case of dealing with your most loyal customers-especially last few years of weakened airline & overall econmy- it seems doiwnright not smart, not forward-thinking, just counter-intuitive.Plus it is the opposite of community-building.

I don't think you have much of a case on the Premier Exec/Gold thing, as they are maintaining the 50k status tier benefit (although the benefits at that tier level are severely reduced).

What you may have a case for is that the previous program promised 2 CR-1s every year. Just as they had promised and are continuing to provide lifetime RCC membership for those who attained 2MM before the new program went into effect, I think you could make a case for continuing to receive those CR-1s. As for threshold gifts, well, sucks that you lost it, but they never promised the program wouldn't ever change.

Seriously, please, could you scale back your signature? It's actually distracting to read threads in which it appears.

Right click desired image in someone's signature, select "Copy image URL" from pop-up context menu.

Good luck with Best Western. Haven't seen many of those floating around.

United Loyalists’ Daily Newsletter – March 22, 2012

"Millionmilers" Group Roundly Criticized by True United Loyalists

In a signed commentary, the United Loyalists' Corps roundly criticized the baseless antagonism of the self proclaimed "UA Millionmilers" group.

Under the tireless leadership of United CEO Jeff Smisek, United offers an unprecedented value proposition for all frequent flyers, the statement said. It continued:

It is shameful that a flunkeyist group of so-called "Millionmilers" have allowed the satanic forces of the widget imperialists to corrupt their morals and engage in reckless, self-destructive behavior.

Perhaps the "Millionmilers" will see the error of their ways after a period of re-education in the New United Re-Education Center in Houston, the statement added.

It can only be hoped the United CEO will show mercy upon these traitors.

Technically, the “gift status to someone else” is too broad for what it is, if you’re going to play by the rules. It’s for a spouse or significant other who lives at the same address as you. It’s not supposed to be a pal or other relative who lives someplace else.

As a single unattached person, this benefit is of no use to me whatsoever, and there are many others like this. We hope that UA will recognize our long-term loyalty at some point by offering a choice of an alternate benefit. But this issue’s been discussed elsewhere many times. I simply wanted to clarify how the Spouse benefit is supposed to work.

Sorry I dont think the OP has any recourse , in as much as that on 1/1/12 they werent a 1MM as of yet , the OP like me will have to live with the new T&Cs. its those who were 1MM prior to 1/1/12 that have a gripe, since they are the ones that actually lost a benefit that they previously had

I can see how it is annoying for people who have literally put in years working toward the goal of million miler in order to attain a well understood and specific package of benefits, only to pass that goalpost this year and end up with a less generous package than that envisioned.

In the matter of the sig, I might be wrong but I think it just got bigger.
