Should have titled the message to say "diverted due to in-flight movie"

I was on an ORD-EWR that had to divert to BOS once because we ran out of fuel. Passengers were very confused and hostile on why we "overflew" Newark and ran out of fuel, not thinking about the traffic we were circling around forever.

I also took off from Miami shortly before their big fuel farm fire exploded ...we were running out of fuel into EWR and diverted into DC...but they couldn't take us so I think we declared an emergency into RDU. Then bad weather hit RDU and we almost got stranded there because the crew was going illegal. I didn't mind that whole experience because I was liquor'ed up in a lie-flat 757 :)

I was on an ATL-MKE flight that diverted to MLI due to weather. We were on final and about to flare right before the engines whined and we climbed rapidly then leveled off at 3,000 feet. The Captain apologized and said that the RVR was below minimums so they couldn't land safely without filing a report. So we diverted to MLI and waited for the weather to improve before finally getting to MKE. This was on AirTran by the way. ;)

HKG to ORD last year diverted to SFO due to fuel burn to clesr typhoon we took off in.

On.approach to SFO placed in hold pattern for 45 mins as airforce one had blocked airspace.

YYZ-FCO with a hooker stop at JFK (they said they were crew, but they looked like hookers to me)
YYZ turn around due to blown #2 engine (L-1011)
CME-IAH diverted to SAT due to hairy big storm
ORD turn around due to loss of hydraulics
RDU-IAH with a fuel stop in BHX
and Last week, LAX turnaround due to fuel transfer gauge issue.

I'm not sure if it qualifies as "wild," but I had a ORD-DCA divert to IAD because they decided to start runway construction that shut down the airport right at the stroke of midnight even though our (slightly delayed) flight was on approach at that time.
