United and Continental both just published excellent fares from the eastern UA to the major Hawaiian islands for $441+ ($522 AI).

    Origins: WAS/BWI/EWR plus BOS/MHT/PWM/BDL/MBT/HPN/ROA/GSO/BUF/RDU/CHO/ROC/SYR/MDT/RIC/AVP/BGM/BTV/ORF/ABE/

    Destinations: HNL/OGG/LIH/KOA.

Availability is decent, travel Monday through Thursday during the following date ranges:

    PERMITTED 21MAY11 THROUGH 31MAY11 OR 01SEP11 THROUGH
    18NOV11 OR 01DEC11 THROUGH 14DEC11 OR 01JAN12 THROUGH
    08MAR12 OR 16APR12 THROUGH 30APR12

Also stopovers available at UA hubs for $55.81 (in homage to the previously ubiquitous DEN stopover on all fares).

You're right, that is just too cute!
2 STOPOVERS PERMITTED ON THE PRICING UNIT - 1 IN EACH
DIRECTION IN CHI/DEN/LAX/SFO/HOU/EWR/CLE AT USD 55.81
    EACH.
    NOTE -
STOPOVER POINT/S/ MUST BE ON THE PERMITTED
    ROUTING.
I wonder who that little shout-out is meant for -- travel agents who miss the old fare rules?

how would a person book into late April/2012, when the UA web site shows booking ability through April 19? That would be the normal 330 out rule.

And it looks like every thing that the web site says is eligible in May 2011, from now to the end of the month is around $1,400 due to less than 14 or 21 days out. Too bad, this weekend looks like a nice time to take a few days off.

Most gateway cities have some form of this promo. DEN, LAX, SFO, PHX, LAS, etc. Minimum 2-night stay. From DEN fares are lowest in Sep/Oct in the $419 AI range.

Not thrilled with my flight times at all. Unable to get on the ORD-HNL on the outbound but am able to book HNL-ORD on the return. Puts me getting into LIH at 10pm. Boo UA/CO!
