AMS *alliance lounge, is it worth a visit for an hour or so?

I thought the lounge was decent. Had a few drinks and just relaxed. It's nothing too special, but it's nice enough.

Is it different than the old Servisair lounge that UA has used in the past? If not, I would hesitate to even call it "decent" the times I've been there. Crowded and poor food / drink selection. YMMV, as always.

Got about two hours between flights from IAH AMS to CPH, maybe I will stick my head in the door and if not to my liking will just sit outside and watch the rest of the world go by....

I actually think the terminal is nicer than that lounge

What theBOAT said — the lounge that UA uses is a typical European airport contract lounge, nothing too exciting.

The airport itself is really fun & definitely worth exploring.

I love the little art museum. The grocery store onsite is the last good place to buy proper stroopwaffels. The casino is reportedly kind of sad (I have not been). Good poffertjes at the cafeteria/restaurant where the chairs are giant Delft teacups… Also fun, the incredibly number of generically named stores, like SOUVENIRS for a souvenir shop and FOOD AND DRINK for a food&drink shop; it feels very much like They Live (1988).

Haven't been in the airport for years, so it will be fun to just explore. I'll skip the garbage breakfast on the plane and have a decent one at the airport, the stroopwffles sound good, been a long time since I had one.
