As I've tried editing a couple posts (using Firefox) to add something at the end, I noticed that if I start typing as the window pops up, the text appears one per line and in reverse. So, for example, "in addition" shows up as:

    n
    o
    i
    t
    i
    d
    d
    a

    n
    I

If, instead I first click somewhere and then type it works in right-to-left order (arrows don't work). Not a big deal but confusing especially if you want to add something at the beginning of your post.

    Now that is odd.

What operating system are you using (e.g., Windows 7, Mac OSX, etc)?

Ah! There you go - tried editing the post above to add "to do it most usefully" and you see the result. The weird thing is that it seems to have done a couple characters at a time in some cases.

How I did it: I clicked on edit. Waited to get a cursor and clicked between the "w" in how and the period and then started typing. You can see the result. Am adding this in a separate post in case you can see something particular with the prior post.

Thanks, Mikel! I've been scratching my head too.

ETA: This post can be edited normally

Quite OT, but an interesting side thing:
if you put a plus sign after a bit.ly url you see all sorts of stats about the traffic through that link. So far Milepoint has generated one click on that link (mine), facebook 17, twitter 97... and 186 people from Brazil have used that link. http://bit.ly/cQgdIT+

Thanks for the tip - very useful.

If I had posted: http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/download, that would have tipped you off to the joke =P
