What are your experience for the posting of stay and points. Should I be concerned that a Saturday-Sunday stay is not posted on a Wednesday? The reservation definitely disappeared from the account but no recent activity posted as yet. I preferred not to ask for help and have my account reviewed due to my last stay that I got a ton of points due to multiple promotion registrations. This stay should be clean (most of the previously registered promotions was gone from my profile.. only 4 left)

I have had to chase IHG for points quite often over the past year but usually they post within 7 days or so

they have given me too many points on several occasions but I have never heard of them taking points back

so far points have posted for me in about 4-5 days after checking...only problems were sometimes the qualifying stays get posted as non-qualifying stays..

agreed with terry, quite often a email to customer care would solve the problem.

Just dont write to them on targeted offers/codes which is obtain via forums and not specifically targeted to you. May run a risk of account being closed.

It sometimes takes a couple weeks for stays to post from the many stays I have. Usually I'd say it takes about 4 to 5 days on average.

That is way too long. Still, better late then never. Did you had to "fight" for the points?

Yes, when after 6 weeks nothing had posted I wrote to Hotel. They had also not charged my card for the stay as I was just left Hotel and never officially checked out.

Wait... This is a dilemma... Free stay and no points vs get points but pay up. Hahaha.

maybe it's points taken by the hotel in lieu of room cost :p

Well, it was actually funny. As I am honest I wrote to the Hotel and it was a cheap stay at a HI of less than 50$. But I needed the stay and the points to meet some IHG club requirement. Anyway boring story short my IHG Club MC was charged the amount a couple weeks later, I received the points for the stay and later the 5000 IHG that I wanted because it was a weekend stay.

Here is what the Hotel replied to me:

    Dear Mr. xxxxxxxx,
Thank you so much for staying with us.
Follow your mail, we checked about your stay, there is something wrong with the system, so we had already written the email to our Priority member service center, and make your missing points back, so please wait for another 10 days.
Thank you so much for your understanding, Mr. xxxxxxxxxx, we are very sorry for this.
Hope you have a nice day.
    Best Regards

Of all the Hotel programs I find SPG by far the best and quickest to credit points. Most the time (my) SPG points post within 24 hours max. 48 and only sometimes like right now they have the Double Starpoints bonus that sometimes takes a week to post.

true, double points for SPG or other promo post 4-6 days time, also quite like Hyatt's speed in posting points and stay credit. IHG's about 4-5 days so far for me, so not too bad either, :p

if it's a IHG Big Win promo again, I bet people would call and demand to be charged so as to get the points :D

My experience for the posting of stay and points is recently perfect.
I was very surprised to receive points and bonus points so quickly after my stays in IC Davos and very positive was the Ebates cashback appearing in my account the same day, great performance and excellent service in this ICavos Hotel.
