Just curious what route the flight follows....or does it vary radically from day to day?
Via pacific north (outside Philippines, Taiwan, Japan), polar route down Manitoba, Ontario, upstate new York into EWR
I have done this route many times and it varies on season, a few times it has headed north east from EWR passing Greenland not quite as high as the Pole. I asked an SQ pilot about the route on my last flight and he said they do not go polar in the northern winter because of the temperatures. They also get favorable tail winds heading to SIN in the winter so the flight heads over Russia. The SIN-EWR flight is TPAC most of the time, but once only it went over the North Pole.
