The title sums it up. Valid July 19-August 31 at participating Fairmont properties.

Is this based on BAR or some other unspecified rate?

I don't know. There is no link to book online - only a phone number - but I do not see any restrictions in T&C.

The only restriction that I saw was the requirement of a Suite in San Francisco or a "Gold Room" at other properties. So if those are available at a BAR????

That said, and knowing the wholesale price of Rimova, I would expect the Best Rate to be somewhere north of $800 per night.

Gold Experience at Fairmont Toronto is available at CAD339 per night, which is a pretty significant discount off Salsa Deluxe MSRP of US$595.

Prepaid gold in Scottsdale is $233 / night, or $530 after tax for the required 2 nights. Not bad for 2 bags...

Just called and it's nowhere close to BAR.

It's a 'special' rate. At Scottsdale its $580++ / night prepaid, as opposed to $233++ / night prepaid normally (or $274++ rack rate).

Ah... so basically it's a free night at a Fairmont with Rimowa luggage purchase. Minimum quantity of two. :)

It gets caught up in the vortex of winds at Portage and Main and occasionally vanishes off the radar!

Actually we are in the midst of the one week period a year, where temps are plus 30, and its been too cold the previous week, so all the mosquitos died!

They're Baaack!... the mosquitos ate me alive tonight in 5 minutes while finishing putting up a railing on my back stairs... 10 minutes later though, I was soaking my bites in the pool, staring up at the clear stars, the blue moon, and the big dipper. Weather is still fabulous!

That’s what I always hope for in NYC: a very warm start to Spring in mid-March, so all the buggers come out, then a fierce cold snap in late April or early May that kills them all. But they always find a way.
