Looking at the video, it looks like a 3-3-3 layout, but I'm not sure the configuration of the galley behind the FA makese any sense for an actual a/c.

    ;)

Posted these on the Delta Forum Lounge thread this morning and they got pulled off, presumably by Delta, after a couple of hours. Guess they do pay attention to us sometimes.

Twice as long as they need to be. Thus I find them tedious and boring. Add to that Richard's welcome and the Lincoln ads that follow, Delta is pushing 6 minutes - and some flights I've been on they've actually slowed down the taxi speed. I was hoping for a video more like United's - short and sweet.

it seemed like the announcer in number one spent the entire video trying not to burst out laughing. I like the humor in the shots, and smiles and friendliness from the announcer are great, but fighting off a case of the giggles conflicts with the prime message.

Ditto, especially the conflict with the prime message. Nothing more to add.

Interesting. In version 1 the only visible minority pax with an active role is the guy who's not prepared to help with the emergency exit.

Yes, clearly an asian FA in J. And some other non-white FAs. But I did say pax.

Anybody who actually watched these things while not on an airplane has just wasted 5 or 6 minutes of his life that he will never get back.

They will be forced down each of your throats hundreds of times in the next few years and it is hard for me to believe that any of you went out of your way to watch it on the interwebz.

Remember how little kids would watch their favorite movie or have their parents read their favorite bedtime story hundreds of times, and they never got tired of it? We're just like that. :p

This is a major disappointment. I guess DL is adding the triplets, bonzai tree, keychain sized roller board to get people to pay attention. I thought the Deltalina film was professional and well done.

Yes, but it's easier (and cheaper) to watch these here than to book a flight on DL just to see these particular videos. Video Run? :p

You actually are interested in and want to see that stuff????

I know that I will be forced to ignore it at least 100 times in the next year or so. At this point, I have had at least a dozen flights since they were released and have not been on an airplane with the screens that show it. I can still ignore the FAs sleepwalking through them.

Since I fly mostly AC, whose safety videos are not designed to catch your attention, I'm curious about how other airlines do the video. The Air New Zealand "Nothing to Hide" and "Middle Earth" ones are very creative. These two from DL are at least trying to be entertaining. Whether they're your cup of tea or not would be a matter of taste. But, yes, I'm sure they're much more entertaining the first 50 times. Downhill from there.

As for AC, they're depending on the following dynamic:

How do you get a planeload of Canadians to pay attention to the safety video?

Say "please pay attention to the safety video." :D

Pretty meh to me. Too many lame sight gags. I love good fun but I had that uh-oh feeling when I saw the second or third "joke". I guess if you fly 2 or 3 times a year, it would hold your attention.

The Deltalina finger wag is so classic. Our 12 year old daughter just loved it and it gets used around our house for a variety of reasons.

yeah, not sure why anyone willingly watches something that they know they'll be annoyed with for years to come

I don't even know if I would have noticed. I hit my seat and just grab a nap until the bell rings at 10000.

I tend to try to do that, but this flight was to LAX and I was looking to see if I could spot any infamous people.

These sort of look like they are trying to go for a cross of what they had and Air New Zealand. Here are two of the more recent ones from them. Both are pretty good. If we did these here I think it would be great!
