A British Airways plane had to make an emergency landing in France after two drunk women ran riot during the flight.

The women, aged 50 and 43, racked up a list of anti-social behaviour that infuriated cabin crew, including: swearing in front of children; refusing to return to their seats; attempting to storm the cockpit; locking themselves in the loos for a smoke; and, according to one passenger, even threatening to kill the family of a BA air hostess.

According to The Sun, one passenger said: "They decided they were going to meet the captain and marched towards the cockpit. It was very frightening."

The pair had been swilling Malibu, the paper reported.

The pilot on the Gatwick-to-Tunisia flight decided he'd had enough, and diverted to Lyon, where French police boarded the plane, removed the passengers and put them in jail for the night.

I have ZERO problems w/the police being a little excessive in their force with people like this. Throw the pieces of XXXX in jail.

    (deep breath, rant off.)

There should be a chute where they can eject folks like this while in flight. No need to inconvenience all those other passengers with a landing. :D
