[article] Live television and on-demand viewing will continue to fly free on Southwest Airlines through the end of 2014, the Dallas-based airline announced Thursday. The television programming is provided through a partnership with DISH (Nasdaq: DISH) via wireless Internet on iPhones, Androids and tablets. Southwest passengers have access to 20 live channels and 75 on-demand shows on the airline’s 440 Wi-Fi-enabled planes. Dallas-based Southwest (NYSE: LUV) and DISH first launched the program in July with plans to end the free service in January. Now, DISH has agreed to extend the program another year. Customers who sign up for DISH and the Hopper also receive 12,500 Rapid Rewards points and a free iPad Mini.
