Turning off Direct Deposit - Got Bad Info from SPG

    I had set up a DD with SPG during a US Airways Grand Slam.

    Then I wanted to turn it off. I got a message saying:

    Perfect. That's what I wanted to hear.

    So, now, I just checked out of a Westin, and the points were deposited to US and I didn't get the "Better by the Night" promo points. Great.

    Any chance they'll make this all right for me?

    I haven't received it yet, but when I do, I'll see about canceling the Direct Deposit. That will keep the points in your account, if I'm successful, but time is of the essence. Otherwise, I'll have to get another department involved.

    Still, the Better by Night points should still get credited even if you have Direct Deposit because they are credited on a sweep instead of being posted with the stay.

    In between starting this thread and hearing from Mr. Sanders, I had replied to an old email from SPG about the problem. They seem to have reversed the DD. Working on the Better by the Night part now.

    So, Mr. Sanders, I think I'm making good progress without needing your generous and much-appreciated help. I'll post back when I'm all set.

    That's not good - I guess they think I'm spam, although the other desk did get them.

    In any event, they told me I'll have my "Better by the Night" points in 6-8 weeks, so as long as that sounds right, I guess I'm done for now.
