As far as I know, TK never used the Jet Airways 77W's to YYZ, and I would be surprised if they changed now. I enjoyed the 777 with F greatly last August from JFK-IST. I was the only passenger in the entire cabin - they used one suite for my carry-ons, one suite for my dining, and another suite for sleep.

Their ground support in IST was fantastic, indeed up to LH standards.

I would suggest to them that they really need to make other lounge arrangements. At JFK they apparently contract for the use of the KE F lounge - this was a pretty sorry lounge, and by the afternoon, the morning's pastries were looking rather spent. Indeed, I made my way over to the Senator Lounge. One would think that TK might contract with LH for use of the IFL lounge there - perhaps that will happen. In IST on my return, they provided the Prime Class Lounge, which is nothing more than a pay-per entry lounge. It is not all that. they served a pleasant breakfast, but the place was simply too small. My IST-LHR got switched out to a 340, and I ended up in C on account. C was OK, but not up to the standards other airlines have been introducing lately on long hauls.

Hoping they keep the 77W to HKG next month. Once a week they are going to their new plane, but I hope NOT on the day I'm flying :) Want to try the Jet suites before they send them back. Been having a very difficult time getting F awards on Jet lately with my AA miles.

Not a chance. The 77Ws are leaving the fleet, and are being used only on the "money" routes. YYZ has almost zero F from any airline (frustratingly for me!), which tells you something about the money available on that route.

Also keep in mind that TK aircraft are frequently swapped to adjust for changing situations in load / equipment problems, so don't get too attached even if you spot a 77W on your booking! [IMG]

My fear having 2 seats in F in a couple weeks - but before F is discontinued [as per FT]
Any possibility of access to LH's F lounge at JFK - I am assuming there is one.

If TK operates from the same terminal you'll be able to access the LH Business Class section of the lounge but you must get a code or be escorted to the First Class lounge area upstairs, so no chance since it is restricted to LH Fs and HONs. That's what makes it so great...one of the most exclusive dining rooms in NYC!

I fly the HKG-IST-LAX route on July 2nd in Comfort Class even though when I booked my seat on the first segment the agent said the cabin was 1-2-1 (as on the Business Class configuration). The leased 777 is not supposed to be flying the HKG-IST route that day, so I am assuming TK is using the more generous configuration on the chance of a change in aircraft at the last minute, and also underbooking the CC cabin.

Has anyone who's flown CC on the HKG-IST-HKG route lately, and was not on the leased 777, let us know if they had an empty seat next to them because of this way of prebooking CC seats? (CC would have a 2-3-2 config, meaning there should be empty middle seats in the centre rows, and empty aisles in the outer rows.)

Suppose they can but where'd you find one? The rest of the lounge is fine so not sure why you'd not want to use it?
