How can we get tsa precheck and global entry for free? Thanks
There are a number of credit cards which give a $100 credit for these programs (personally I get it through the Amex Platinum card), but given the yearly card fee is $450 getting Global Entry is actually part of why I chose the card.
As for choosing one versus the other, if you do even one international trip every few years Global Entry is the best bet. You also get the highest chance of getting selected for Pre-Check with Global Entry. Given that the fee difference is only $15 more, Global Entry is the best bet (you can do a search on here for other people's opinions too).
AA Ex will also refund your fees.
Problem with GE, I would need to travel for the interview, we have a local TSA Pre Check office.
Cleared IAD from PEK in 5 minutes last week,
Seen the local Pre Check line also move slow,,we had 3 wheel chairs the other day in the fast lane.
Most of this is a rip off, paying under the table, want to jump the line get a wheel chair pusher, and tip them.
Seems someone always has a hand out, as the Government polices everyone.
United will reimburse you if you are platinum or a 1k flyer
Unfortunately United got rid of this perk at the beginning of the year
