1) do i have to take my shoes off
2) do i have to take my laptop out?
if it's just a federal rehash of CLEAR then I'll pass.
American in Dallas and Miami...have they completely given up on JFK?
Delta in DTW instead of anywhere else? i'm sure it's more to do with the airport.
"During the first phase of testing, certain frequent fliers and all members of Custom and Border Protection's Trusted Traveler programs, including Global Entry, SENTRI, and NEXUS who are U.S. citizens, will be eligible to participate."
There's a thread in AA showing a message that some of their FFs received from Maya. It sounds like they don't know the details yet, but it did not say that one needs to live near DTW, DFW, or MIA to participate.
I'm so in! Yet another benefit of Global Entry in my book. Hopefully will be available at screening checkpoints at other terminals in MIA in October when I go through.
Is there anywhere to sign up or get on a waiting list?
I got the AA e-mail yesterday. Plat status with them and existing GE member, so that may have triggered it. I also originated an international flight in MIA recently. If it is targeted (for AA at least) to MIA/DFW then it's not going to do me much good as I'm DC based. Hopefully the new version of the program's better than CLEAR - ultimately that was no better than the Priority Access and/or Diamond Lanes.
