I'm fairly new to the game of points and miles and have a question. I have some Diner's Club points hanging out there that I may want to use on a US Air flight. Can I transfer them to my SPG account and then transfer out of SPG to US Air? Do I still get the 20,000 SPG points = 25,000 US Air miles bonus?

Diners Club Transfer to SPG at 1250:750.

SPG Gives 5k Bonus Miles for every 20k SPG Points transferred (20k SPG = 25k Dividend Miles). Otherwise transfer ratio is 1:1.

For direct Transfer Diners Club to Airline :
Neither option is all that great.

I wouldn't do it. You are forfeiting so much unless you really don't think you can use Diners Club points in any other way. I'd just get the US Airways Master Card from Barclays Bank that has a 40K bonus after the first purchase.
