    Not even in the slightest!
With no international options they couldve added Spirit for the same token.

Maybe a little harsh. But point is, if this is a supposed to in some way lessen the loss of CO, it doesn't.

On the other hand, something is better then nothing...

Concur 100%... something is better than nothing, but this is close to nothing (when compared to the loss of CO).

At this point, I'm still very borderline about getting my AMEX when the annual fee comes due next year. I just dont see the value in shelling out $175 for the PRG. They need to find a way to add another, major, redemption partner.

    Lucky writes,
"Unfortunately Virgin America being added as a partner is about as useful as a class about how to let people finish taught by Kanye West."

With the risk of sounding dumb, can someone please explain this?

Well, I haven't read Lucky's post (why doesn't he post his insights here?), but I don't quite agree with that statement (without further context). That Kanye class is completely useless, but I can see myself topping off my VX account which doesn't have a lot of points in it, but may grow over time thanks to occasional travel and/or things like Topguest.

Agreed..... the occasional topping off is what I would do to... but as a "primary" transfer partner? No way. Thats been reserved for CO & BA for me... 1 of which is going away, the other which is being devalued. My dream would be to have AA somehow get into the mix (very unlikely, I know). Or even if Alaska Airlines was in, I'd consider it a big upgrade since they partner up with practically everyone.

    Alaska would be awesome!
They are a little hard to use with no being allowed to mix partners leaving only Alaskan to get you to the gateway city, but from there their partners are great and they have some awesome redemptions.

I hope VX makes some positive changes to their rewards program by the time this goes live.

So....log into your Membership Rewards account right now.

    It's a 2:1 transfer ratio. Ugh....

Yep. Total disappointment now. Unless it was some very high value reward, basically its a completely useless option (to me). I'm better off redeeming for hotel points or something.

Almost certainly going to cancel my Amex now. I transferred the last batch of MR to CO a few days ago, and I just dont see the strong value anymore.

I just transferred my remaining 180,000 MR points to VX as I plan to get an award flight from SFO to LAS :D
