What I'm about to say may come to a shock to some of you but I have never been in an airport lounge....

I have acquired since June three cards that I know of that have lounge access tied to them in some way:
    • Ink Bold
    • U.S. Air MasterCard
    • United Mileage Plus
*The other cards that I have I believe do not have lounge access (Citi AA cards, BA Visa, SPG, Hilton Amex).

I only travel once our twice a year so I have no problem using these passes to get to experience these lounges that many of you speak of (my wife also has these cards so we can use her passes for our summer trip). However, I have no idea where to start. I don't know what lounges I can access and where these lounges are located.

-Are they located in the airports I will be passing through?
-If so where within the airport are they located? I looked online a little bit and saw that there are lounges in some of the airports I am going to but what if I'm in a different terminal?
-Do I need to print anything in order to be admitted?
-Will my wife be admitted as a guest or will she have to use her own passes (form her cards)? Or can she use one of my two that I get for each card?

Here is my itinerary. Any recommendations? I know I don't have a ton of time but I figure I should try to experience the lounges instead of wasting the passes.

    1st Ticket:
    12/22/12: US Air 7122 ORD-PVD 1:39pm-4:51pm
    12/26/12: US Air 7906 PVD-ORD 6:02am-7:41am

    Different Ticket:
    12/26/12 United UA1181 ORD-LAX 10:17am-12:53 pm
    12/26/12 United UA614 LAX-OGG 2:36pm-6:22pm

    1/5/13 US Air UA2875 OGG-PHX 2:10pm-10:53pm
    1/6/13 US Air UA2954 PHX-ORD 1:20am-5:33am

    Thanks!

For UA ... more info can be found here.
    http://www.united.com//web/en-US/content/travel/airport/lounge/default.aspx

That shows locations (Airports & Terminals). I know there's a UA Club in ORD/LAX ... so you could use them there.
I don't know about the requirments to enter, but I imagine giving up your one time UA Club passes that you get from the UA Explorer card should work.

I have no exp w/the US Air card ... so I can't help you there.

For the Ink, I got a membership kit for Lounge Club.
    https://www.loungeclub.com/en/
You can find locations on the website, and from what I read in my membership kit, you go in & show them the Lounge Club Card. A fee will occur on the Ink card, but then LC will credit you back 2 visits. (I'm pretty sure that if you & wifey enter, that's 2 visits)

If using passes you should not have to provide anything additonal.
I do not believe these is still a US club at ORD.

Also, the one-time use passes (like the UA ones) are for one person, so no guesting in another person. Your wife would need to bring her passes from her cards.

The good news is, if you're using the UA lounges, if you're lactose intolerant you can skip the Tilamook cheese and grab bag Fritos usually.

I do appreciate the cereal and bananas in the morning. PHX in Terminal 2 has a UC with a great staff, but I think its a long way from US Air's gates. UA also has multiple UCs in ORD and LAX.
The United credit card passes are for a single individual. I am not familiar with the benefits from the other cards.

The UA lounge at EWR, despite always being crowded and looking a little worn-out, pours a decent spicy bloody mary which is great for unwinding after long-haul flights in Y.

I appreciate the juice as well. It's nice to have something to drink besides water, soda and coffee.

Do you all think that my 1.5ish hours in LAX will be enough time to visit a lounge? Depends on my gate?

Also, I'm going to have to get my bags after my PVD-ORD flight and then re-check them for my ORD-OGG ticket right? I wont be able to have them go all the way from PVD-OGG since they are on two separate tickets right?

I got a kick out of incorrectly reading your post- I first took it to mean, the gates offer much more than the lounges do!

I initially read his comment about US Air's gates the same way. That's funny.

Sent from my HTC PH39100 using milepoint

Some great info here. As a new Ink Bold member, I was not aware of this nor had I recieved a welcome package. A quick phone call to Chase gave me the info to sign up on line. From what I understood, first two lounge accesses are free then a $27.00 fee per person charged after.

To be 100% accurate, she doesn't need passes "from her cards." She just needs a pass. The ones you get with the UA Explorer don't have a name on them so anyone can use them. Since you get two, use one each and you're all set. (I've done this, so it's not just a hypothetical "it should work this way" answer.)

There seems to be an exception for this for children. I have now twice brought in my 6-yr old son using my passes with no problem.

I have also done this numerous times with my little ones. Never a problem using the passes. Again, not really what OP was looking for, but FYI for anyone else.

Hmm I'm at LAX right now and United Club said I don't get access because I'm not traveling on intl same day itinerary. However I'm flying UA first to SFO... Shouldn't I get access?
