At the start of the New Year, everyone's PQM balance was reset to 0 (as expected) but one unfortunate side effect is that you can no longer any easy way to see your final balance for 2015!

The only way that i could do it was to pull up my entire activity from 1/1/2015 to 12/31/2015 and then highlight and copy the entire table into Excel, then use the sum( ) function on the PQM column. (Copying and pasting doesn't work with Safari, BTW.)

Is there a more obvious way that I am missing?

I'm in a dispute over UA accounting currently your method sounds better than what I am currently using. Keep us posted if you discover an easier way.
ETA: Check the totals! My PQM and PQS totaled higher than the UA final numbers.

None that I'm aware of. I always make it a point to snapshot those at the end of the year (and, then totally forgot to do it for my airline accounts in 2015, sigh).

I, for the first time, forgot to snapshot my UA account for 2015. Not much info lost; I think my PQD were $180.

First year in a decade that I don't have top status with any airline. I think I'll survive :)

That's becoming more of a reality with me and UA. I somehow ended up with Platinum this year without really trying to get there. Imagine it'll be a different metal for 2017.

I'll remain UA gold through MM. Due to relocation, I spent most of my revenue on AS. Did use about 200k UA miles on awards. Missed AS Gold by about 7000k miles... but for the first time in a long time didn't really feel the urge to spend extra to reach it. AS has been good to me, though, and they will continue to see me on their planes.

But main goal for 2016 is to reduce mileage balances.

Each year I get surprised by the zeroing out of the prior year. There is a place you can find your 2015 numbers and see if your 2016 packet has been mailed:
Sign in to your account. Go to 'My Account'. Click on link to 'View Premier progress'.

    Or go to https://mystatus.united.com

My gold package is still being processed. They are not very good a predicting status and scheduling accordingly, it seems :)

This page has been down for maintenance every time I have tried to access it over the last five days. Of course this is the primary time members would actually want to use it...
