Since the MiPo beta launch, is this the most time you have spent away from FT in a long time, ever?
I'm approaching 32 hours away and may never look back.[IMG]

I usually don't check in to FT when on vacation, or if I do, it's once or twice only. I still jumped into FT once this weekend, but I'm not spending nearly as much time there.

I'm just waiting for this site to become easier to use - a MyMP would go a long way to allow me to jump in here for a few minutes at a time while at work.

  3. I constantly search FT forums for "MilePoint" [IMG]

Nope. Absolutely not. There is still WAY too much knowledge out there in too many places to say that any one site gets all my time.

I'm completely utilitarian, and hence tend to be away for long periods until things need doing. How would I keep up with all the other topics that fuel my OCD?

FT now gets checked more frequently because I downloaded the iPhone app. Until there is more substantive content in some of the forums, I go there for answers to questions that haven't been posted here.

I alternate which new post button I click. I spend about the same amount both places, but I don't post on FT much anymore.

I'm going to let things settle a bit, then probably use both.

We'll see how things turn out.

Absolutely. I like to tap into the info shared by as many knowledgeable people as possible. Of course I also try to give back.

    I love MP.
It has a much more intuitive interface which makes FT look like a school project from the '90s. I won't be rushing back to Flyertalk in a hurry.

It will take time to evolve. FT still has the accumulated work of the wisdom of ages, in FAQs and Sticky threads for each of the programs. As a discussion forum, MP is already streets ahead. As a reference work, it will take time and commitment (or plagiarism).

  18. you can take 12 yrs of knowledge and replicate in a week.

But we can improve on it.

FAQ will grow. But I think at a point I have to decide because of my time.

I'm also having some time away from FT for the first time in a while, though I realize I'll be now spending time on both going forward as MP developes. I'll probably end up with one of them being my primary frequent traveller forum, and MP (or is it MiPo ?) has really got off to a good start - well technically it hasn't even launched yet. But I like what I see so far, it's refreshing [IMG]

I stopped visiting FT daily after my term on TalkBoard ended. I've logged onto FT every couple of days (sometimes with longer gaps) just to see the MyFlyerTalk screen and see if any of the handful of threads that I follow has been posted to or if I have any PMs, but I turned off email notifications for everything the day my term ended.

I'm visiting here daily right now... but I'm not certain I'm ever going to let a website become of such importance again that I can't go a few days without checking it. I've got much different priorities now... and if it means I miss a special deal or some critical discussion, so be it. I've learned that the world will keep turning nonetheless. [IMG]
