For our honeymoon (end of Nov) we will be doing the following flights & staying at the following hotels. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas/suggestions on how we can improve or stuff we should definitely do.

    Flights (All in J)

LAX - ORD - BRU - VIE [United BF across the Atlantic]
VIE - CDG [Economy on Niki Air via BA Avois]
CDG - BKK - SIN [Thai Airways, on a A380 CDG - BKK]
SIN - ICN (One Night Layover) [SQ]
ICN - SEA - DEN - LAX [Asiana across the Pacific, UA back home]

Hotels: all via Points or Free nights
    • VIE - 3N Radisson Blu Style Hotel Vienna (Using Buy 2 Get 1 via the Visa using points)
      • 1N Intercontinental Wien
    • CDG - 3N Radisson Blu Hotel Champs Elysees, Paris (Using Buy 2 Get 1 via the Visa using points)
      • - 2N Park Hyatt Paris Vendome (Hyatt Visa Nights)
    • SIN - 3N Conrad Singapore (2 Nights via Points; One night via Citi Reserve [Waiting for the free certificate so 1 night not booked yet])
    • ICN - 1N Conrad Seoul (via Citi Reserve [Not booked yet]
Two things I am thinking about/working on.
    • Getting another 22hr layover in Brussels, because changing hotels for just one night while in Vienna sounds like an annoying thing to do. Thus we'd be in VIE for 3N vs 4. For Brussels I was looking at staying at the Crowne Plaza Brussels on Points. And if there is availability for a Brussels airline to BRU vs UA since we flew BF on UA last year and want to try other airlines.
    • Also I have alerts setup & manually search for ICN - Home via a more direct flight (ICN - LAX//SFO-LAX)
      • Or find a all business flight from SIN -> LAX/SFO without the Layover in Seoul.
    Any other suggestions?

SEA - DEN - LAX seems like a waste and a letdown. I’m just guessing that adds like four hours over a direct SEA – LAX on say AS using Avois?

After getting dumped off in SFO from SQ and having to get back to DC on UA (nonstop) I vouched to not fly home via the Pacific because those domestic portions kill you after the great international first experience.

I'm afraid that If i tell UA to end my trip on SEA ... they're gonna charge me a change fee for changing my origin/destination. Thus why I'm looking at either ICN - SFO/LAX. UA doesnt do SEA-LAX direct ... its either SEA - SFO - LAX or SEA - DEN - LAX.

You're probably right about the change fee. But UA does serve SEA-LAX direct. It's just in a crappy CR7. Or has that been downgraded even further? Last time I got an upgrade on that route was over three years ago. I think I had salmon. Now first class passengers get a Lunchables.

You might find SIN boring. HKG would be a better choice. If you have status, I rather liked the Grand Club at the GH Singapore. I found decent award space between ICN and SIN, so you could keep that. Decent space on BKK-HKG with the A380, too.

We thought about that, but 3 days in HKG we don't believe is enough. (She's cantonese by blood so she'd want to be there for a while ...) Also she's been to HK while all these destinations will be a first time for us.
Wouldn't that be another change fee :-X hahah
And only PLT via the credit card for Hyatt... If we could change to HKG i could always do the Conrad HK.

That definitely changes the equation. Not being there before, both were pretty new, and we spent three nights in each. We had more fun in HKG.

I wouldn't argue with you there. But with our limited time in Asia, already being booked as SIN being a destination, and with it being our first time there together; I don't think we'd want to change SIN -> HKG.

    Slight update.

    1. I got 2 J in OZ204, ICN - LAX Direct on the B77E lie flat seats =). No more messy routing through SEA. That also gives me about 20hrs in Seoul.
    2. Changed my BRU - VIE to another day; giving me 23:45 hours in Brussels. Booked a Crowne Plaza on points so my goal of not spending money on hotels is still on :)
Anyone have any where we should not miss, either dining or sightseeing?
